The Immigrant and Refugee Rights Training Institute
is an opportunity for immigrant and refugee community
organizers and activists to gain training on using the
BRIDGE Project curriculum and other popular education
resources in their work; as well as trainings on topics
such as turning out immigrant/refugee community votes
in an election year; human rights abuse documentation;
and more!
The Training Institute will also include a strategy
session to strengthen work and cooperation between immigrant,
refugee, and allied organizations in the region to counter
anti-immigrant initiatives and activities; and work
together for justice and dignity of immigrant and refugee
communities.
Participation is limited; maximum 5 participants per
organization. Priority will be given to NNIRR members
who engage in organizing and education work with immigrant
and refugee or allied communities. Scholarships are
available.

decisions by March 6, 2006.
Registration costs for the Immigrant and Refugee Rights
Training Institute are on a sliding scale:
$25 (annual organizational budget below $99,999)
$50 ($100,000-199,999)
$100 ($200,000-349,999)
$175 ($350,000-499,999)
$250 ($500,000 +)

El Instituto de Entrenamiento en Derechos Inmigrantes
y Refugiados es una oportunidad para organizadores y
activistas de comunidades inmigrantes y refugiadas de
obtener entrenamiento usando el plan de trabajo del
Proyecto BRIDGE y otros recursos de educación
popular en su trabajo, así como también
otros entrenamientos en temas como la movilización
de la comunidad de inmigrantes y refugiados durante
un año de elecciones, la documentación
de violaciones a los derechos humanos, y más!
El Instituto de Entrenamiento también incluirá
una sesión de estrategias para fortalecer el
trabajo y la cooperación entre organizaciones
de inmigrantes, refugiados y aliadas en la región
para contrarrestar las iniciativas y actividades anti-inmigrantes,
y trabajar juntos por la justicia y la dignidad de las
comunidades inmigrantes y refugiadas.
Los espacios para la participación están
limitados; a máximo de 5 participantes por organización.
Se dará prioridad a miembros de la Red Nacional
(NNIRR) que están organizando y haciendo trabajo
educativo con comunidades inmigrantes y refugiadas o
comunidades aliadas. Hay becas disponibles.
