Our wonderful 2016 summer interns!

NNIRR's summer 2016 interns made an outstanding team, working on valuable projects for the National Network and for our global allies. Favianna Schectman researched, drafted and edited prospective fact sheets for our Just Borders toolkit, a challenging task that covered a wide range of issues from migrant deaths to corporate investment in border enforcement. Kristen Gardner tackled the our Immigration and the Elections initiative, monitoring candidate and party positions on immigration and producing updates and charts for our website. Rani Hanstad supported our Women in Migration Network, our global partnership formerly known as the Women and Migration Working Group. She monitored news, updated the WIMN website and oversaw a nunber of tasks as the Working Group transitioned to its new name. All the interns supported our social media work and preprations for NNIRR's 30th anniversary celebration. We are truly in debt to them for the solid work they did over the summer and look forward to remaining connected to these committed young women.
