Training & Capacity-Building
Immigrant & Refugee Rights Training Institutes (IRRTI)
NNIRR organizes national and regional IRRTI (Immigrant & Refugee Rights Training Institutes) for community organizers and leaders to develop their skills as popular education facilitators in the context of movement building. Contact Cathi, ctactaquin[at]nnirr[dot]org, if your community group/organization is interested in hosting an IRRTI in your region this summer.
HURRICANE & Martus Trainings
NNIRR's human rights documentation initiative, HURRICANE, offers in-person and "webinar" trainings on how to do community-based human rights documentation as an organizing strategy to build community power. Learn how to document abuses using Martus, a human rights database that allows you to safely and securely store and organize information about incidents of abuse and rights violations. Contact Laura to sign up for a training, email@example.com.
NNIRR staff also offer trainings for organizations, community groups, conferences, and workshops on topics ranging from Root Causes of Migration, Globalization and Migration, Immigration 101 and more. For details or to book a training, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
