Action Alert: Sign Petition to Pres. Obama: The Border Patrol Killed my Husband

By now you are all aware that the Department of Justice issued an announcement on Friday that they will not be pressing charges on the federal agents who brutally beat and murdered Anastasio Hernandez Rojas in 2010, despite video evidence and eyewitness testimony.  This is unacceptable.  We need to urge the White House to do something now. We are circulating a petition to the White House to:

  1. Put Cameras on all border agents to protect all families so that no one has to suffer as the Hernandez family has.
  2. Conduct an administrative investigation and discipline the agents involved in this killing and many others happening across the nation.
  3. Provide fair and just compensation to the Hernandez family for the loss of their father.

We need your help circulating this petition immediately.  The announcement regarding Anastasio’s case coincides with Custom and Border Patrol’s pending statement on whether or not they will require all Border Patrol Agents to wear Body Worn Cameras.  The timing is critical and we need to gather thousands of signatures by the end of this week.
