With a little help from our friends - thank you

To all of our donors, members, sustainers and creative individuals, small businesses, musicians and artists who have supported us over the past year,

NNIRR would like to take a moment to say,

We are deeply honored and inspired by the initiative of several new donors this past year. Their generous and unsolicited contributions, commitment and solidarity have meant a lot to us. Here's just a sampling of some of the ways these friends have shown their support:

Elephant Revival, a popular folk band from Colorado, continues to donate to NNIRR from give-what-you-can donations with the download of their music video, When I Fall, an ode to crossing borders.

State Bird Provisions, a hopping San Francisco restaurant that won the James Beard Award for best new restaurant and a Michelin star after its opening in 2013, polled their staff earlier this year and chose NNIRR as a recipient for a pooled donation. State Bird owners took their support even further by working with Bon Appétit Magazine in March to co-host a brunch that raised additional funds for NNIRR.

Wilco, the popular alternative rock band from Chicago, selected NNIRR to receive proceeds from sales of their hat imprinted with  "Make Wilco Great Again" at a Chicago show. Wilco continues to support other great social justice causes with monies raised from other merch sales and music video downloads.

Julie Ann's Frozen Custard in Crystal Lake, Illinois, inspired by Wilco & their band leader Jeff Tweedy's political stand and generosity, designated sales to NNIRR from their monthly dessert special in April -- dubbed the "Tweedy Bird Sundae."

#CUTHATE, an event sponsored by Haus Hair Society in Long Beach, CA was organized by a group of compassionate hair stylists and cosmetic professionals who offered services in exchange for a suggested donation. The final amount raised was equally divided among NNIRR, ACLU, Planned Parenthood and The Trevor Project.

Artists and sellers on ebay are giving a percentage of their sales to NNIRR through the e-bay giving program and Paypal Giving Fundpeople have sold posters, classic comic strips, antiques, art and more.

A few hundred of these wristbands appeared on our doorstep this summer from a supporter who wanted to donate to immigrant rights in these challenging times. They're terrific! Get your wristbands here!

Workplace Giving/Employer Matching Gifts Programs: employers match employee donations. This year we have received donations from employees at Google, Apple, Kaiser Permanente and more.

Thank you again for giving to NNIRR in all of these unique and important ways! Each contribution and expression of solidarity makes our work stronger.
