Vote Today -- and Protect the Right to Vote

Election Day is finally here, and many people around the country have already voted. If you are eligible to vote and have not yet cast your ballot, please do so before this evening's deadline in your area!

We encourage everyone to be on alert for problems and threats to the right to vote. You can call, text or email the Election Protection Hotline if you see or experience anything amiss. Call 1-866-OUR-VOTE (687-8683) to report problems.

MALDEF, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, has set up a toll-free hotline for Election Day complaints. Voters can call 1-877-224-5476.

The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) in New York will proceed with its 14-state election monitoring OF Asian American voters, a particular challenge after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. They are accepting complaints voting issues on their multilingual hotline at 1-800-966-5946, by email to and on Twitter at #aisanvote2012.

Again, much appreciation and a shout out to all of the hard-working groups and initiatives that have expanded the democratic participation of our communities!

Please continue to visit our election resource section for updates and information. After the election we'll be looking ahead for the challenges and opportunities to improve the lives of immigrant and all communities. Without a doubt we will be appealing to all of friends and supporters to join us in mobilizing for a more fair and just future for us all!
