2nd Annual Immigrant and Refugee Rights Training Institute
September 30-October 2, 2005, Oakland, CA

This fall, NNIRR's BRIDGE Project trained 112 immigrant and refugee community organizers, educators and activists at the annual Immigrant and Refugee Rights Training Institute. The Training Institute gives emerging leaders in the immigrant and refugee rights movement the opportunity to develop their popular education skills; participate in "train the trainers" workshops based on the BRIDGE curriculum; to gain organizational capacity skills; and to network with immigrant and refugee rights organizers from around the country!

We at the BRIDGE Project and the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights give our sincere thanks to all of the participants, their organizations, and families for their energy, talent, and time in making this such a productive and supportive experience. We hope it only gets better—in building a strong and healthy movement for immigrant and refugee rights!
